Description
The Installation Contactor Rail 16A 230V/AC/1NO is a DIN-rail impulse relay used to control lighting circuits in order to manage energy consumption efficiently. Each time voltage is applied to the coil terminals (A1–A2) — whether as a pulse or a continuous voltage — the relay toggles its contact state. This ratchet mechanism means the relay operates as a switch: press to open, press again to close (operating sequence: 0–1–0–1–0…).
Impulse relays of this type are used to connect and disconnect lighting circuits via parallel push buttons from multiple positions (two-way / three-way switching, also known as alé-retour), and as memory elements in automation circuits. The supply voltage covers 110–240V AC/DC, while the control coil operates at 230V AC.
