Description
Description
The LED Scanner is a compact LED flasher module designed to simulate a security scanner effect — the same sweeping LED animation associated with vehicle alarm systems. It outputs a continuous scanning pattern across its power LEDs under normal operation, and switches to a distinct alarm-state pattern on the middle LEDs when its Trigger+ input is activated.
Blinking speed is adjustable via an onboard potentiometer. The board connects via an elevator-type terminal block and includes reverse-polarity protection to prevent damage from incorrect wiring.
Key Features
- Knight Rider-style LED scanning simulation pattern
- Trigger+ input for alarm-state activation — flashes middle LEDs when triggered
- Blinking speed adjustable via onboard potentiometer
- Elevator-type screw terminal for wiring connections
- Reverse polarity protection
- 12 VDC power supply
Product Benefits
- The scanning animation provides a visible deterrent effect for vehicle or property security applications without requiring a full alarm system
- The Trigger+ input allows the unit to respond to an external alarm signal, changing the LED pattern to indicate an active alarm state
- Potentiometer-based speed adjustment lets the installer tune the scanning rate to the desired visual effect without additional components
- Elevator terminal connections simplify wiring in automotive and panel installations
- Reverse polarity protection prevents board damage if power leads are connected incorrectly
